Server & System Administrator

Duties include:

  • Perform variety of technical tasks supporting and maintaining computer systems and networks.
  • Develop, document, monitor and maintain system, application, security, and network configurations.
  • General system administration, security patching, OS upgrades, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring maximum availability of IT equipment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users.
  • Recommend and assist in deployment of applications, equipment, upgrades and process adjustments to provide cost effective technology solutions in support of business goals.
  • Position deals with moderate to advanced technical systems.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 Education and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or 5 years of combined education and experience in server and systems administration.
  • Comfortable maintaining and administering data networks, workstation and server operating systems, virtualized infrastructure and containers.
  • Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments.
  • Practical working knowledge of Microsoft and Linux server operating systems.
  • Working knowledge and experience with cyber-security best practices and processes.
  • Familiar with deployment, management and support of docker containers and containerized systems.
  • Experience with system operations and automation technologies, especially Ansible.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, possess good time management skills and be able to work autonomously.
