Warehouse Intern

If you’re thinking about a career in mechanical, electrical or construction trades, this opportunity could provide helpful insight and experience.  The schedule is  well-suited to a student or individual seeking summer employment.  We will offer flexible part-time hours during the school year as well.  We are looking for a team member with a helpful attitude who wants to learn and grow.  Working with our experienced staff will provide insight into warehouse organization, as well as processes to support the construction trades.

HVAC Elements provides HVAC equipment, controls and balancing solutions for commercial and institutional facilities.  We have been in business since 1971 and have offices in Sioux Falls and Rapid City South Dakota, and Fargo and Bismarck North Dakota.  We are a family of growing companies with great opportunities for career development. 

Duties include:

  • Checking in and putting away inventory.
  • Staging of materials for construction projects and service orders.
  • Errands and deliveries.
  • Assisting with various jobsite and warehouse tasks, including assembly, maintenance, organization and clean-up.
  • Work hours will be weekdays during business hours… up to 40 hours per week during the summer, and flexible part-time hours during the school year. 

 Education and experience requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Comfortable communicating with others.

 Physical requirements: 

  • Can safely lift 50+ pounds, and be able to withstand long hours of standing and handling materials.
  • Able to bend, kneel and navigate up and down ladders.
  • Withstand working in hot or cold environments at times.

 We require a pre-employment drug screen and background check on all new hires.
