Administrative Intern

HVAC Elements provides HVAC equipment, controls installation and service, and balancing solutions for commercial and institutional facilities.  We have been in business since 1971 and have offices in Sioux Falls and Rapid City South Dakota, and Fargo and Bismarck North Dakota.  We are a family of growing companies with great opportunities for career development.

This position is available in our Sioux Falls location, which is our corporate office, as well as an active contracting location.  Gain valuable business experience by supporting accounting, sales, engineering, field and operational staff.  We are looking for a team member who wants to learn and grow, with the potential to move into a permanent position.

Duties include:

  • Assemble, file and organize information.  Examples are accounting records and documents related to projects and HVAC jobs. 
  • Answer multi-line phones and route calls.
  • Special projects, including some research and gathering documentation.
  • General office tasks, including help with meeting preparations, travel arrangements and mailings.
  • Schedule will be during business hours, but can be flexible in order to accommodate school or other obligations.  We anticipate offering 10-20 hours per week during the school year, and full-time in the summer.

Education and experience requirements:

  • Organized, professional and detail oriented.
  • Solid computer skills, including good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Comfortable communicating with others.
  • Good phone etiquette.
