2023 HVAC Elements Education Symposium

On May 9, 2023, HVAC Elements hosted an Education Symposium at Five Oaks Venue in Sioux Falls, bringing together K-12 superintendents, business managers, facility staff, and higher education decision-makers. The event served as a platform for education professionals to gain valuable insights into best practices for indoor air quality, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and preventive maintenance in schools.
G&R Controls, in collaboration with Siemens, led the symposium, providing attendees with current industry standards and practical strategies for optimizing school facilities. The day featured a diverse lineup of speakers from the education, building controls, and engineering industries, each sharing their expertise on improving K-12 and higher education buildings.
The event was structured around five key focus topics, beginning with an opening panel discussion on how the built environment influences student learning outcomes. The agenda included:
